Quantum physics (QP) has become the holy grail of pop-spiritualists. The reason is that QP introduces probability at the most fundamental level in physics. Never before had probability played such a fundamental role in explaining physical phenomena. Because of this uniqueness, the founders of QP -- in trying to "make sense" of the theory -- resorted to mysticism, further polishing the holy grail and giving New Age gurus more ammunition to connect their mysticism to QP.
There are several tricks pop-spiritualists use to connect QP to their mysticism. One is to make a confusing long-winded statement that can be untangled to a simple ridiculous assertion: mysticism is weird, so is quantum physics; therefore, mysticism is based on quantum physics (see here for an example). Another is to use mystical ideas to "explain" the probabilistic nature of QP. (Let the reader know that no probabilistic phenomenon can be "explained.") A third trick is to exploit the "inexplicability" of QP to invent an inexplicable connection between mysticism and quantum physics. From the drop-down menu, you can pick some of these examples.
